Motherhood

In a talk written by President Ezra Taft Benson, he addressed mothers all over the world saying "Motherhood is the greatest potential influence either for good or ill in human life. The mother's image is the first that stamps itself on the unwritten page of the young child's mind. It is her caress that first awakens a sense of security; her kiss, the first realization of affection; her sympathy and tenderness, the first assurance that there is love in the world."

He counsels mothers: "Contrary to conventional wisdom, a mother's calling is in the home, not in the marketplace... a child needs a mother more than all the things money can buy. Spending time with your children is the greatest gift of all"

I have only been in the motherhood community for 3 months now. I cannot believe the happiness and utter joy that being a mom has brought me. I am overwhelmed, tired, blessed, happy, and complete. Although I haven't been in this job for long, I have already learned so much about my Heavenly Father and myself. I feel the closeness of Christ in our home and I will be forever grateful for the blessing that it is to be Taft's mom.

This is Taft:

Taft is my world. He has brought me so many different feelings. from being absolutely overwhelmed by the task that Heavenly Father assigned me, from having the utmost joy and happiness. Motherhood truly is an eternal partnership with God. I pray daily that I will be able to be the mother that this little human deserves.
